OneShelf: Save & Organize
Effective date: June 2, 2026
Last updated: June 2, 2026
OneShelf ("the app", "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data is processed when you use OneShelf, what is not processed, and your rights.
OneShelf is a local-first app: the content you save stays on your device.
1. Summary (short version)
- Your content data stays on your device. Your saves, categories, tags, and notes are not sent to our servers or to any third party.
- Account and subscription require limited identity data (email, name, user ID, purchase history).
- The free version shows ads; an advertising identifier and usage data may be processed for these ads. Premium users see no ads.
- We do not sell your data.
2. Data we process and why
a) Data that stays on your device (we have no access)
The links you save, along with titles, descriptions, thumbnails, categories, tags, and personal notes are stored only on your device, in a local database. We do not access, upload, or share this data.
b) Account information (Firebase Authentication)
To create an account or sign in, Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple is used. The data processed includes:
- Email address
- Name (if provided by the sign-in provider)
- User ID (Firebase UID)
Purpose: Authentication and managing your account (app functionality).
Provider: Google LLC (Firebase Authentication).
c) Subscription information (RevenueCat)
To manage your Premium subscription:
- User ID
- Purchase history
Purpose: Verifying and managing subscription status (app functionality).
Provider: RevenueCat, Inc. Actual payment is processed by the Apple App Store; we never see your card details.
d) Advertising data (Google AdMob — free version only)
Google AdMob is used to show ads to free users. Data that may be processed:
- Device/Advertising identifier (IDFA)
- Usage data / product interaction
- Diagnostics data
Purpose: Third-party advertising.
Provider: Google LLC (AdMob).
For Premium users, the ad SDK is not loaded and this data is not processed.
3. Tracking and App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
On iOS, before the advertising identifier (IDFA) is used, an App Tracking Transparency permission prompt is shown.
- If you allow: personalized ads may be shown.
- If you decline: only non-personalized ads are shown; no tracking via IDFA occurs.
Your account data (email, name, user ID) is not matched with third parties for advertising and is not used for tracking.
4. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above (Firebase/Google, RevenueCat, Apple), for the stated purposes, and subject to their own privacy policies:
- Google / Firebase: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- RevenueCat: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
- Apple: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
5. Data retention and deletion
- On-device content data: Deleted from your device when you uninstall the app.
- Account data: You can request account deletion at [email protected]; your account and associated identity data will be deleted within a reasonable period.
- Subscription records: May be retained for a period by RevenueCat/Apple due to legal/financial obligations.
6. Children's privacy
OneShelf is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from this age group.
7. Your rights
Depending on your region (e.g., GDPR, KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, and object to the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected].
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method is 100% secure.
